WNBC New York produces seamless live broadcast of annual marathon

RF Central and Total RF combined their efforts on Nov. 5 to help produce a seamless live broadcast of the 2006 ING New York City Marathon. WNBC New York aired the marathon live in its entirety.

RF Central deployed 18 of its six-way Diversity Receiver RFX-RMR-X6 throughout the 26mi event to receive transmissions. Six on-course vehicles and two helicopters transmitted the footage via five Camera-Mount Transmitters (RFX-CMT) and three Portable Digital Transmitters (RFX-PDT).

Total RF and RF Central provided 52 technicians and production specialists to produce the event.
