WHYY-TV programs available on-demand from Comcast Cable

Comcast Cable has added programming from WHYY-TV to Comcast's ON DEMAND lineup in the Philadelphia region, making WHYY the first public television station to be featured on the digital cable service.

The new programming - including "A Walk Up Broad Street", "Pennsylvania Railroad" and "Secrets Beneath the Street" -- enables nearly two million Comcast digital cable customers to access WHYY productions anytime they want. WHYY programs are available under the “Get Local” screen selection from Comcast’s ON DEMAND menu.

Comcast’s ON DEMAND gives viewers the ability to access movies and programming 24 hours a day with complete VCR functionality. Shows can be instantly paused, rewound and fast-forwarded via the customer's digital cable remote control, and select programs can be stored for up to 24 hours for repeat viewing. More than 300 hours of programming are available ON DEMAND at no additional cost as a service of Comcast Digital Cable.
