WFLA-TV purchases 15 Fujinon ENG lenses

Twenty-three videographers will use the A18x7.6BERM wide angle zoom lens to cover news in WFLA-TV’s multi-county coverage area in Florida.
WFLA-TV, the NBC affiliate serving the Tampa-St. Petersburg, FL, market, has purchased 15 Fujinon A18x7.6BERM ENG lenses for its newsgathering crews.

A compact, lightweight lens, the A18x7.6BERM features a wide angle of 60 degrees at 7.6mm, focal length range of 7.6- to 137mm, 18x magnification and greater image clarity.

At WFLA-TV, 23 videographers cover news stories in the station's 10-county coverage area. The new Fujinon lenses are used on Panasonic P2 cameras that store images on a solid state P2 memory card.

Among the features of theA18x7.6BERM are pre-determined zoom speeds, pre-set zoom speeds, and a programmable zoom that's often used for tripod shooting of documents and photographs. Zoom limits allow the operator to pre-determine how far a servo zoom should be allowed to go.
