Web courses aim to promote RF safety

A pair of upcoming Web courses sponsored by the SBE aims to educate station personnel, including engineers as well as SNG and ENG maintenance personnel, on RF safety and regulations.

Richard Strickland of RF Safety Solutions will teach the 3.5 hour courses July 25 and Aug. 2.

Topics to be covered include the effects of RF radiation, government regulations, hazards in the workplace and RF protection equipment.

The society has approved the course for one SBE recertification credit.
