Vizrt completes acquisition of Curious Software

Vizrt has completed the acquisition of Curious Software. In exchange for all assets of the company, which was officially finalized June 1, Vizrt has agreed to pay $5 million in cash to Curious shareholders. Up to an additional $4 million is to be paid in ordinary shares of Vizrt as well.

The assets of Curious Software will be integrated into Vizrt’s holdings and will now operate under the Vizrt brand name in all markets. The takeover will add 13 staff members to the team, making a total number of 148 Vizrt employees worldwide.

Bjarne Berg, president and CEO of Vizrt, said Curious products would replace Vizrt map systems. In addition, new products will be developed that will leverage each of the companies’ expertise.
