Victory to Chair Hurricane Review Panel
Nancy Victory will chair an FCC independent panel reviewing the impact of Hurricane Katrina on communications networks.

The group includes public safety and communications industry representatives; it is supposed to review the impact of Katrina on the telecom and media infrastructure in the affected area and will recommend ways to improve disaster prep, network reliability and communication among first responders.

Victory is former assistant secretary of commerce for Communications and Information and Administrator of the NTIA, where she served as the manager of the federal government spectrum and telecommunications policy advisor to President Bush. She is a partner at Wiley Rein & Fielding LLP.
