Verizon Launches FiOS TV in Northern Va.
Herndon, Va. is the second community to receive FiOS TV from Verizon. The fiber-based service debuted in Keller, Texas and customer sales have been strong, according to Verizon.

As part of the new service, Verizon offers all-digital programming, more than 20 HD channels, more than 1,000 VOD titles, an interactive programming guide and a dual-tuner DVR. Verizon plans to expand FiOS TV to more households in Virginia and other states. Verizon has obtained franchises in Fairfax County and Fairfax City in Virginia and with municipalities in California, Florida, Massachusetts, New York and Texas.

There are a variety of packages and premium channels from which to select in three services--Basic, Expanded Basic and La Conexion for Spanish-speaking consumers.
