USA Studios posts Harrison concert with Snell & Wilcox Ukon

The Ukon features aspect ratio conversion with tilt, pan and zoom and time-code conversion with precise frame mapping.

Looking to make it available for DVD release, USA Studios in New York City used a Snell & Wilcox Ukon universal format converter to downconvert “Concert for George,” a high definition feature film documenting George Harrison's tribute concert last year at Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

The Snell & Wilcox Ukon universal format conversion platform was used to create several HD masters of the concert on the Digital Betacam format. The work was completed in preparation for the film’s DVD release in November, which follows a limited theatrical release.
