Toronto 1 selects Avid Technology from ingest to playout

Toronto 1, a new station owned by Craig Media, Canada’s largest privately held television broadcasting company, has purchased an end-to-end digital news solution from Avid Technology to produce its lineup of news magazine and current affairs programs.

The equipment order spans the entire production process, from ingest to playout. Included in the purchase was an Avid Unity for News shared-storage and media asset management solution, NewsCutter Adrenaline FX, Adrenaline FX, NewsCutter XP, Avid AirSPACE, Avid Unity MediaManager, iNEWS ControlAir, and Avid iNEWS systems.

Toronto 1 is using its Avid-based workflow in the production of “Toronto Today,” “Toronto Tonight,” “Last Call,” and “Toronto Life Magazine.”
