Technological Advisory Council to discuss cost of interference at July meeting

The cost of interference, licensed broadband services and the state of the cable industry in terms of telephony will be the focus of the FCC’s Technological Advisory Council (TAC) meeting July 28.

The meeting, the sixth under TAC’s renewed charter, will commence at 10 a.m. at FCC headquarters in Washington, DC.

The council, chaired by Robert Lucky, was formed to provide the commission with technical insights concerning innovations in communications and related industries. It is a Federal Advisory Committee composed of a broad array of well-known technologists.

The TAC meeting is open to the public.
