Télécam Films offers news, corporate clients HD flexibility with new Canon lenses

Washington DC-based Télécam Films has begun satisfying the growing demand for HD content production by offering clients Sony XDCAM HD tapeless cameras equipped with two Canon USA HDgc portable broadcast lenses.

Télécam Films specializes in broadcast news, long-form programming and corporate work. The new HDgc lens and Canon’s digital drive feature enable the production company to adapt quickly to various production environments, said company owner and founder Thierry Humeau.

Télécam Films has acquired two Canon KH16ex5.7 IRSE ENG/EFP HDgc zoom lenses and two Canon KH10ex3.6 IRSE wide-angle HDgc lenses with Canon’s eDrive technologies.

The KH16ex5.7 IRSE zoom lenses and KH10ex3.6 IRSE wide-angle lenses Télécam purchased for its Sony F350 XDCAM HD tapeless cameras provide greater production flexibility.

The Canon USA KH16ex5.7 IRSE and the Canon KH10ex3.6 IRSE lenses are both designed for cameras with 1/2in imagers. Both feature a built-in 2X extender and Canon’s digital eDrive feature. The eDrive feature lets users program nine different functions, including zoom, focus and iris settings, into the lenses for precise, automated repeatability. These eDrive Series HDgc lenses can also be operated manually.
