Swiss tourism to be touted throughout the world via digital signage network

John Lay Electronics of Switzerland has mounted a large digital display to a setup of five ocean freight containers to look like the Swiss cross that will be used to promote events that take place in Switzerland.

The company bought a 28-panel Daktronics ProTour video display system with 13mm pixel center-to-center spacing and measuring approximately 12ft by 21ft. The system was first set up for Switzerland Tourism in Valencia, Spain, to do a public viewing of the America's Cup and will later travel through Europe to promote the European Championship of Soccer 2008. After that, it will travel to Beijing, and will be installed beside the Swiss house at the Olympics for public viewing.
