Streambox releases software encoder

Streambox has released a software-only version of its ACT-L3 encoder. The software encoder has been successfully deployed by national and international broadcasters for several years and is now available for general release. Typically used for live and file-based newsgathering and video acquisition over low-data-rate IP networks, the software provides additional flexibility for Mac or Windows users using the IP-based platform for broadcast and broadband applications.
