Sony releases MPEG wireless transmission for ENG, EFP applications

The WLL-CA50 wireless receiver is exceptionally robust and stable even in normally difficult environments.

Sony has released the WLL-CA50 transmitter and WLL-RX50 receiver for MPEG transmission of video from cameras used in ENG and EFP applications.

The wireless MPEG system provides a high-quality transmission from a Sony camcorder to a base located in an ENG or EFP vehicle.

By eliminating the cable between camera and the van, the mobility of the camera is greatly increased. Based on 2.4 GHz wireless technology, MPEG encoding and COFDM transmission, the Sony Wireless Camera System is well-suited for news and sports applications from the field.
