Sky Sports Active launches new broadcast facility in London

Sky Sports has built a new broadcast facility in London to provide highlights packages for BSkyB’s interactive sports channel, Sky Sports Active. The new facility will provide the control room capabilities for live sports programs, including international cricket and UEFA Champions League football coverage.

Ten Harris NEXIO servers and eight NewsFlash networked, high-resolution editors have been installed at the new sky sports studio. The NEXIO production system serves two newly enhanced, continuously operating control rooms. The NewsFlash editors allow highlight packages to be cut and played to air through the NEXIO servers.
