Sioux Falls’ KDLT-TV upgrades systems

KDLT-TV, an NBC affiliate based in Sioux Falls, SD, has installed a new media server for playout of commercial content and interstitials on its main channel and its Weather Plus digital secondary channel.

A new Omneon Spectrum system at KDLT has replaced a proprietary legacy server system that was not easily expandable and did not interface adequately with the third party systems in use. Playback of KDLT’s main channel and the Weather Plus channel from the Spectrum server are under the control of a Sundance Digital automation system.
