SintecMedia intros OnAir graphical analysis

SintecMedia, makers of the OnAir airtime sales and traffic operations system, will introduce a graphical analysis tool at IBC2006.

The new real-time, interactive report and graphical analysis tool is designed to allow customers to access information required to make more informed decisions. Users will be able to proactively react to changing business conditions, monitor sales activities and more effectively manage inventory and maximize revenues, the company said.

Introduced in 2001, OnAir is an all-in-one solution that manages airtime sales and traffic operations as well as content acquisition, broadcast rights, long-term and detailed schedule planning, and promotion planning. It features a set of sales and content management tools designed to increase efficiency for broadcasters operating multiple channels across regions and time zones.

With the upgrade, analysis is allowed at the individual channel level, or data can be consolidated across multiple channels in the organization. OnAir can also optimize the placement of multiple promo campaigns simultaneously.

The optimization engine's algorithm maximizes a user-defined goal stated in terms of required rating/audience, number of spots, or amount of promo airtime. This occurs while taking into consideration a set of constraints and limitations such as channel, daypart and program genre to generate an optimal plan.
