SES Global Appoints New President/CEO
The board of directors at satellite operator SES Global have appointed Edward D. Horowitz as its new president and CEO of SES Americom and to the executive committee of SES Global.

Throughout his extensive career, Horowitz has worked in the media, telecommunication and financial industries. He recently founded EdsLink, LLC, a venture fund providing strategic financial, operations and technology consulting services.

Among his other jobs, he formerly served as strategic advisor to the CEO of Cablevision's satellite service division, Rainbow DBS.

Additionally, Horowitz was the senior vice president of Viacom, chairman and CEO of Viacom Interactive Media and a member of the Viacom Executive Committee.

He holds a B.S. in Physics from the City College of New York and an MBA from Columbia University.
