SCTE to E-Mail 'Standards Alerts'
The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) Standards Program is offering a "Standards Alert" e-mail list that updates customers on current technology developments.

Subscription is free and available to anyone interested in new proposals and approvals of standards documents for cable-related topics including DOCSIS, IPCablecom and digital program insertion (DPI). Steve Oksala, vice president of SCTE Standards points out that subscription to the e-mail list does not replace membership in the program, which "brings with it the value of being at the table when technical standards are being discussed and agreed upon." More than 120 cable companies, vendors and allied organizations are SCTE Standards members. For more information on the list and how to subscribe, visit http://www.scte.org/standards.
