Scripps Networks operations announces new appointments

Supporting an aggressive expansion and distribution initiative within the company’s newest national television brands – the Shop At Home Network and GAC-Great American Country - Scripps Networks has announced a restructuring of the company’s technical operations department, including the promotion of three members of the division.

John Ajamie has been promoted from vice president of broadcast operations to senior vice president of broadcast operations and maintenance engineering; Mike Donovan has been named senior vice president of engineering and satellite distribution technologies; and Tim Harty was promoted to director of engineering.

The company’s maintenance and engineering activities will now combine with the operations division under Ajamie’s supervision. His new responsibilities involve a lead role in the company’s High Definition Television initiative, and the integration of GAC with the other Scripps Networks brands.
