RTNDA honors Noreen Welle

The Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) honored the late Noreen Welle, the association’s VP for communications, April 16 at NAB2007 during the Annual RTNDA Business Meeting Breakfast.

Welle’s husband, Tom, accepted the posthumous honor, the Rob Downey Citation, on her behalf. The honor, named for RTNDA’s first executive secretary, recognizes exceptional service to the Board of Directors, and is given each year during the RTNDA@NAB convention in Las Vegas.

Noreen Welle, 57, died in December 2006. She oversaw the association’s communications operations for nearly a decade.
