Racquet Club of Memphis provides crisper video boards for WTA, ATP events

The Racquet Club of Memphis developed a unique scoring and display system for the recently held Regions ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) Morgan Keegan Championships and WTA (Women's Tennis Association) Cellular South Cup tour events.

The system was comprised of four Daktronics GalaxyPro LED displays located courtside, two speed-of-serve displays using LED digits and radar guns and a specially designed interface to the ATP and WTA scoring systems.

The LED displays each measured approximately 3.5ft by 8.5ft and were positioned at court level behind the service lines in the primary stadium court, the grandstand court and player's court. The GalaxyPro was chosen to present up to seven lines of real-time scoring and statistical information, as well as colorful graphics, sponsor logos and animation. Display resolution is 48 by 128 pixels with full-color pixels on 20mm center-to-center spacing.
