Panasonic offers 103in HD plasma display

Panasonic Broadcast has announced pricing and availability for its 103in high-definition plasma display. The TH-103PF9UK monitor will have a suggested list price of $69,999.95 and will be available in late 2006.

Panasonic said the TH-103PF9UK provides stunning widescreen progressive display featuring full HD pixel resolution of 1920 x 1080, a contrast ratio of 4,000:1, and 4096 equivalent steps of gradation. Its effective display area is approximately 89in x 50in. The 103in 1080p panel is equivalent in size to four 50in Panasonic plasma displays.

Panasonic billed the display as the ultimate centerpiece for a television facility, corporate headquarters or trade show. The TH-103PF9UK, the manufacturer said, is a “show stopper” for a wide range of professional applications including video production and screenings, live events and control and command centers.

Panasonic Broadcast is now accepting orders for the TH-103PF9UK. Prospective buyers can call 1-800-528-8601 to receive additional information.
