Pacific TV automates assets with SGT

In order to efficiently manage its assets through the broadcast chain, Pacific TV, a television station located on the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia, has installed a complete broadcast automation system from SGT. The new station upgrade will allow it to expand its coverage and distribute programs beyond its home island.

To complete the installation, Pacific TV hired Indonesian systems integrator DWI, which chose SGT’s Transmission Management software package. The station's operators will have the benefit of new workstations for the digitization of programs, signal monitoring and program playout from an Incite video server. The SGT solution will also accommodate any future expansion or upgrades to the facility.

DWI will handle all onsite integration of the automation package, as members of its personnel have participated in SGT's “Integrator” training program.

The SGT Transmission management software package is designed to automate the entire program playlist process, from ingest and playout to graphics creation and system supervision.
