NBC Will Use ScheduALL at 2008 Summer Olympics
NBC is implementing ScheduALL productions and operation management software to help manage feeds for NBC’s coverage of the upcoming Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics.

The network plans to implement 48 high-definition feeds and to operate as many as 32 streaming encoders during the games. The event marks the third time the network has relied on ScheduALL in connection with Olympics coverage, and the first time NBC will provide streaming video coverage.

“ScheduALL’s comprehensive operations management solutions are designed to support complex news and sports event operations as well as support a variety of production and transmission workflows,” said Greg Dolan, senior vice president at ScheduALL. “We look forward to working with NBC on its coverage in Beijing.”

NBC has plans for more than 3,600 hours of event coverage.
