NAB forms team to raise public awareness of DTV transition
The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) has hired a staff to increase public awareness of the approaching February 2009 deadline for the switchoff of analog and launch of digital-only TV transmission.
Joining the NAB are Jonathan Collegio, Myra Dandridge, Shermaze Ingram and Lale Mamaux. Dandridge, Ingram and Mamaux will report to Collegio, who will serve as vice president of the committee.
Previously, Collegio was press secretary for the National Republican Congressional Committee. Dandridge will serve as the digital television transition team's director of public affairs. Most recently, she was the communications director for the Congressional Black Caucus.
Ingram, who was previously director of communications and events for Discovery Education, a division of Discovery Communications, will serve as the new team's director of media relations. Mamaux will serve as the team's director of external relations. She previously worked as communications director for Congressman Robert Wexler.
