NAB, AWRT to host joint event on women in media

The NAB Education Foundation and American Women in Radio and Television (AWRT) will jointly host a think tank event March 13 for executive-level women in media.

The group will examine strategies for advancing more women into the top ranks of the media industry. FCC commissioner Deborah Taylor Tate will attend, and invitations will be extended to senior-level female executives. The event, titled "New Directions: Women in Media, the Path to Success," will be held at NAB headquarters in Washington, D.C.

The think tank will precede AWRT's Annual Leadership Conference March 13-15 at the Hilton Washington Embassy Row.
