Motorola and Modulus Video offer SD/HD MPEG-4 encoding solutions

Motorola and Modulus Video are working together to target cable, satellite and telecom providers with HD and SD MPEG-4 Advanced Video Codec (AVC) encoder and decoder products.

Under terms of the agreement, Motorola will resell the Modulus MPEG-4 product line, including the ME1000 AVC SD video encoder, MD1000 AVC SD professional decoder, and the ME6000 AVC HD video encoder. The companies will also jointly develop a line of Motorola-branded MPEG-4 AVC encoders, based on Modulus’ signal processing technology.

Motorola will integrate these products into its digital video head-end, and offer the systems as part of its solutions for IPTV.
