Moseley releases new versions of MasterController and TaskMaster1620
Moseley’s MasterController is the PC-based management program designed specifically for use with the Moseley MRC2. It consists of three interacting modules: CommServer, ScreenMaker and Navigator. CommServer is a self-contained remote control management system that can communicate with multiple sites and helps users manage alarms and events. It also creates log files of recorded events. Improvements to CommServer include alarm management functionality, highly reliable connections to multiple remote sites via 2-wire, 4-wire or autodial over a telecom connection. CommServer also now has a logging system that writes to standard file that can be read with off-the-shelf database, spreadsheet and word-processing programs.
ScreenMaker is a graphical user interface design tool that helps users create custom interfaces for hundreds of channels on hundreds of remote sites.
Navigator is used to manage many different sites simultaneously and to monitor live site data. Navigator helps users browse their remote sites and manage alarms and events. The new version provides enhanced alarm management functionality.
For the Moseley MRC1620, TaskMaster1620 provides a communications link between users and remote MRC units, and facilitates day-to-day use of the system for monitoring and control activities. TaskMaster1620 also allows operators to use a custom designed interface to browse sites and control live site data. The new version of TaskMaster1620 features improved alarm management functionality and reliable connections to multiple remote sites. TaskMaster1620 now also works in conjunction with ConfigMRC, a simplified site configuration tool. Current users can download a free upgrade at www.moseleysb.com.
Moseley has also introduced a new ENG link. The Expedio ENG link allows MPEG bit rates from four to 32 Mbps and uses COFDM and QAM modulation techniques. The system automatically selects the power and bandwidth needed by the bitrate and modulation selections. Power out is +33 dBm at 4 QAM, an additional 3 dB at 16 QAM, and 6 dB at 64 QAM. Video interfaces supported include DVB ASI, DVB SPI, and V.11. Optionally the system can accept MPEG-2 encoders/decoders, and analog modulators and de-modulators. The system works in the 1.9-2.7 GHz range in steps of 250 kHz. The occupied bandwidth is 6-8 MHz.
