Media Bureau revises comment deadlines on leased access rulemaking

The Federal Communication Commission’s Media Bureau Aug. 24 extended the comment and reply comment deadlines related to the commission’s Notice of Proposed Rulemaking regarding commercial leased access.

The revised comment deadline is now Sept. 11, and the new reply comment deadline is Oct. 12. Originally, the comment and reply comment deadlines were set for Sept. 4 and Sept. 21, respectively.

In mid-August, the Media Access Project, representing the National Alliance of Media Arts and Culture, the United Church of Christ Office of Communications and Free Press, requested the extensions.
