Media Bureau notice sets DTV construction permit application deadline
The revised Post-Transition DTV Table of Allotments, which the FCC adopted in its Seventh Memorandum Opinion and Order on Reconsideration and the Eighth Report and Order, became effective with their March 21 publication in the Federal Register, according to a public notice released last month by the FCC Media Bureau.
The Media Bureau notice also said stations have until June 19 to file their applications for construction permits. The notice also addressed those stations that did not file for expedited construction permits application processing by the March 17 deadline because they were waiting to learn how their petitions for reconsideration would be resolved. For those stations, the notice extended the deadline for expedited processing to April 21.
According to the notice, FCC Forms 301 and 340 must be submitted using the Consolidated Database System (CDBS) electronic filing system via the Internet from the Media Bureau’s Web site.
