Maxell extends DVD line with high-speed DVD-R Plus series

The Professional Division of Maxell Corp. of America extends its DVD line with the DVD-R Plus Series for professional video and data storage applications.

Designed specifically to meet the quality and compatibility demands of the professional broadcast industry, DVD-R Plus has a 4.7 GB capacity and currently supports 8x write speeds for 100 percent more productivity compared to the general purpose 2x disks.

To ensure the highest quality recording and noise-free playback, Maxell uses advanced proprietary organic dye recording layer materials with the DVD-R Plus Series. The dye, along with the disc’s high density, makes Maxell’s DVD-R Plus Series one of the most compatible media formats available.

This new disk also has a pre-recorded shelf and archival life of more than 50 years.
