Leitch's NewsFlash Preditor now shipping

Leitch Technology's low-resolution browse and edit solution, NewsFlash Preditor, is now available.

Based on the NEXIO server platform, NewsFlash Preditor features a common user interface between high- and low-resolution editing environments.

The solution incorporates NEXIO server technology for encoding and client access to the low-resolution file system and features a fully configurable user interface based on the redesigned NewsFlash editing environment. With NewsFlash Preditor, users can make cuts-only edits and build timelines using low-resolution proxy clips.

The system's new toolkit also allows users to perform a wide range of audio edits, including audio level adjustment, track swapping, and recording of voiceovers. Completed projects can then be passed back to the NEXIO server system to be converted into new, high-resolution, broadcast-ready clips.
