Laird to introduce Inertia DV, analog transcoder

Inertia performs bidirectional conversion on DV, SDI, component, composite and YC video at the highest RS170A spec.

Laird will roll out Inertia -an any-format-to-any-format- transcoder that goes beyond the typical performance of conventional DV media converters by offering bidirectional conversion of many legacy formats.

Inertia performs bidirectional conversion on DV, SDI, component, composite and YC video at the highest RS170A spec. Inertia also converts between those formats independent of DV.

Inertia has live format outputs, turning it into the ultimate interface tool for monitoring, splitting and recording.

Inertia also features dual analog outputs for easy monitoring. The unit is housed in a desktop case with rack mount and is selectable between NTSC and PAL.
