KeyWest releases latest character generator

KeyWest Technology has unveiled the MX5 MediaXtreme character generator, an entry-level CG with a robust feature set, including support for MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video, and Jump Backs animated backgrounds from Digital Juice and Macromedia Flash animations.

The MX5 creates and plays back visually-appealing CG pages for retail stores, community bulletin board channels and in-house greeting and information channels. With the MX5 users can combine CG pages with MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video clips. Support for Flash animation and Digital Juice’s Jump Back animated backgrounds provides users with creative tools in a basic CG. The MX5 supports all PC graphic file formats, all TTF fonts and all PC audio file formats. It comes with Ethernet network interface, composite and S-video I/O, four USB, stereo audio I/O, 5.1 Dolby, and RGBHV for LCD and PDP flat panel support.
