ITI workshop, roundtable to focus on DTV transition

The transition to digital television will be high on the agenda of the FCC-sponsored Sixth Indian Telecommunications Initiatives Regional Workshop and Roundtable July 10-11 in Albuquerque, NM.

The event will focus on the DTV transition and what viewers need to do to continue receiving over-the-air signals after analog shutdown Feb. 17, 2009.

The commission also said staff from various agency bureaus, including Media and Wireless Telecommunications, will provide information on its broadcast licensing process and auction procedures.
