Irdeto to introduce secure software client for Irdeto Piright

At IBC2004, Irdeto will unveil the Irdeto secure software client for its content protection for IP product, Irdeto PIright.

The Irdeto secure software client offers security protection without the need for a smart card.

Additonally, the company will show:

  • Irdeto Epsilon Card with FlexiFlash, which limits the impact of piracy by mixing card types within the network as subscribers are added;

  • Irdeto Conditional Access for mobile devices, which secures content that subscribers watch via personalized mobile or vehicle devices;

  • Irdeto M-Crypt, a quick efficient secure solution for digital television services up to 100,000 subscribers.

The company will introduce embedded solutions at IBC2004, including Smart Chip, an embedded access control solution for operators deploying low-cost set top boxes with single-tier subscription services, and ICOB, which lets niche content providers distribute common interface conditional access modules (CI-CAMs) with an embedded Irdeto Access smart card inside.
