Independent testing shows Zoran ATSC receiver exceeds A/74 guideline, says company

Zoran’s Cascade VSB receiver technology exceeds A/74 requirements and complies with the Advanced Television Systems Committee, ATSC Recommended Practice: Receiver Performance Guidelines, according to a recent Laboratory Test Report issued from the Communication Research Centre Canada (CRC), the company said Monday.

The guidelines seek to determine a receiver’s capability to receive DTV signals under conditions expected to be found in various over-the-air reception environments, such as densely populated urban areas where it is more difficult to deliver clear reception due to broadcast reflections off buildings and vehicles.
