Ikegami shows new SD camera and switcher at IBC

Ikegami's HK-399PW camera
At IBC, Ikegami introduced a new SD studio/EFP camera, the HK-399PW, incorporating 14-bit A/D converter (38-bit internal operation). It uses the same ASIC technology as that of an HDTV camera, and an AIT chip that achieves a smear level superior to that of an FIT chip. The optional SE-S500 system expander allows the HK-399PW to be operated as a studio camera.

Ikegami also announced a partnership with TANDBERG Television in the development of a dockable wireless camera system tailored for the HK-399PW and HL-60. The wireless system is integrated in a compact housing. The system transmits within a frequency of 2.2 ~ 2.7GHz and uses COFDM modulation. The distance between transmitter and receiver, depending on the type of antenna, can be up to 1000 meter.

The company also showed its new TD/TDP-370, a 20 input and 2M/E digital portable HDTV/SDTV switcher. The TDP-370 is a one-piece self-contained unit with the control console integrated in the main frame. The switcher is also available with separate full size console panel and mainframe as the TD-370.

The compact 4RU switcher provides a "Super" function with DSK (MK1/MK2). An optional two-channel 3-D DVE can be integrated for SD and HD as an option, while an internal frame store (for three HD or 15 SD pictures) is incorporated.
