Hitachi unveils low-cost HD camera for robotic studio, field production

Hitachi offers both native 720p and 1080i outputs within the SK-31B, eliminating the need for video signal manipulation through third-party converters.

Hitachi Denshi America’s Broadcast & Professional Group has introduced the SK-31B, a multiformat HDTV camera.

The camera offers native 720p and 1080i outputs within the SK-31B, eliminating the need for video signal manipulation through third-party converters to achieve the desired format. Furthermore, the SK-31B optionally can provide downconverted 480i as analog or SDI video outputs in 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio.

The SK-31B comes with a 2RU, half-rack-width camera-control unit – model CU-3100 - and a digital optical-fiber system for exceptional video transmission quality.
