Harris chooses Broadcast Technology Showman 5000 for Iraqi media project

Harris has selected Broadcast Technology to supply equipment for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) project.

The project is developing an existing but antiquated media network into a modern media organization. The Iraqi Media Network (IMN) program includes equipment, operation, training and provisioning of programming for two national radio and television networks and a national newspaper with operating locations in Baghdad and more than 30 other locations throughout the country. The Harris Broadcast Communications Division is currently constructing studios, a satellite distribution network and transmitter sites for installation throughout Iraq.

Broadcast Technology’s Showman 5000 analog TV demodulators will provide monitoring capabilities at transmission sites across the country.
