GlobeCast in Beijing Broadcast Base
GlobeCast Asia is launching the Beijing Broadcast Base 2008 in partnership with Beijing International Media Services Company Ltd (BMC), a joint venture between the 7 Network Australia and Beijing Television (BTV) established to raise the bar on production quality for remote, studio, LIVE broadcast and packaged video production and post production services from the coming Olympics.

The Beijing Broadcast Base is set to help international broadcasters with their coverage of the Games, and is similar to a broadcast facility operated at the Athens Olympics in partnership with Gearhouse Broadcast.

The Beijing Broadcast Base is a digital broadcast centre that aims to provide rightholders and non-rightholders with comprehensive services for the Games. The Broadcast Base will be HD-ready and is equipped with work space and logistics, studio, edit suites, LIVE standup positions, and tape playout facilities. It will also have connectivity via fiber and satellite for international delivery.
