Genesis Provides Fiber Infrastructure for Global Vision
Genesis Networks fiber infrastructure was used to deliver broadcast news feeds from across Beijing during the Summer Olympics. Transmission-services provider Global Vision offered fiber-based connections from a site over looking the Olympic Green and downtown Beijing.

Global Vision also provided satellite news gathering vehicles capable of broadcasting from locations in and around the city.

Global Vision connected these locations to the Genesis terrestrial fiber network for distribution to major media hubs on all other continents.

"In order to serve a wide range of geographically dispersed customers often on short notice, we knew we needed a solution that would extend the reach of our satellite capabilities and provide the lower latency, increased flexibility, and additional value that a fiber network would offer," said Michael Fleck, president, Global Vision.
