Fujinon HD lenses help Wal-Mart focus in on corporate communications

To help produce its numerous training and corporate communications videos, Wal-Mart Stores is using high-definition studio and ENG-style lenses from Fujinon at the company’s production studio and headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas.

The HA22x7.2ESM HD studio lens has a focal length range of 7.2 to 158mm or 14.4 to 316mm with a 2X extender and a zoom ratio of 22X.

Four HA22x7.2ESM HD studio and four HA17x7.8E HD ENG-style lenses are used in tandem with four new Ikegami HD studio cameras and one Ikegami handheld HD camera. The remaining HD ENG lenses will complement Sony HD camcorders used in the field.

The HA22x7.2ESM HD studio lens has a focal length range of 7.2 to 158mm or 14.4 to 316mm with a 2X extender and a zoom ratio of 22X. It features Fujinon’s DIGI POWER Servo, which provides operators with precise control of zoom, focus and iris functions.

The HA17x7.8E lens also offers digital control with Fujinon’s Digi Power features. By employing its exclusive Super EBC coating technology and a new Inner Focusing system, the company said chromatic aberrations have been minimized throughout the zoom range.
