FOX TV stations buy Vizrt’s Curious World Map systems

Vizrt has sold 25 of its Curious World Map Systems to the FOX Television Station Group.

With this new purchase, eight FOX stations updated their graphics systems to include street data, image processing capabilities, and high-resolution aerial imagery. Each station’s daily news programs will now include maps of international, national and local news events.

Each Curious World Map system includes detailed local street data, enhanced topography data, advanced paint and image processing, 2-D and 3-D animation, global satellite imagery and hyper-local aerial imagery. They can call upon either a comprehensive worldwide database or detailed maps of the streets from their own broadcast areas.
