Fox Sports scores with Quantel's generationQ

Fox Sports, an Australian subscription TV sports broadcaster, has installed a new server-based editing system built around Quantel's generationQ technology at its Sydney headquarters.

The new system features four QEdit Pro NLE machines supported by eight QCut editing seats. It also includes four Quantel sQServers providing 290 hours of storage at 30Mb iFrame.

Fox's server-based system is augmented by two sQfx live playout control panels, one for each studio. Fox purchased the QPaintbox Pro broadcast video design system in early 2003.
