FOR-A expands Hanabi switcher line
November 25, 2003
The switcher includes a single, pre-installed DVE card, with the capability to add up to two additional cards.
FOR-A has introduced the HVS-1000HS, a new compact model of its Hanabi digital switcher series. The HVS-1000HS is a single mix/effect version of FOR-A's two-M/E Hanabi HVS-3000H/S digital HD or SD switchers. It supports 1080i, 24p, 720p, and SD formats.
The new switcher is housed in a 2RU frame and is designed for use wherever space is at a premium. It offers a choice of units designed specifically for studio applications or for OB vans and other live installations.
The switcher includes a single, pre-installed DVE card, with the capability to add up to two additional cards. On the SD version, this increases the capacity to two channels of DVE from each card. On the HD version, an optional DVE card provides a single channel of DVE per card.
The HVS-1000HS comes standard with four inputs and is upgradeable to 16. A maximum of seven outputs are available. One channel of key is also standard. Up to three independent key layers are available.
