FCC to hold second public hearing on media ownership

The FCC will hold the second in a series of public hearings on media ownership Dec. 11 at Belmont University in Nashville, TN.

The hearing will give the public an opportunity to become involved in the commission’s 2006 Quadrennial Broadcast Media Ownership Review. During the hearing, the commission will conduct two panels, each followed by a public comment period. The first panel will examine issues related to the music recording industry, and the second will focus on issues facing broadcasters and independent programmers in the Nashville market.

The meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Massey Performing Arts Center on the Belmont University campus.
