ETTV selects Network Electronics for signal support

ETTV, Taiwan’s largest shopping network, has selected a complex flashlink optical transport system from Network Electronics to link its signal to multiple studio locations.

The flashlink fiber optic transport system forms a ring linking six locations with approximately 20 studios and several sub-studios. Control of the entire system is accomplished from the main control room. The configuration also includes Network Electronics’ Automatic Protection System (APS) that provides an emergency-change over function to avoid “black screens” should any fiber be interrupted.

ETTV, operator of three channels, standardizes on an SDI signal without any compression to maximize the image quality on screen images of product offerings.
