Entone to Demo IPTV system in Amsterdam

Entone will demonstrate an end-to-end IPTV system featuring its StreamLiner network video recorder (NVR) and its Hydra IP video gateway next week at the Telecom Video Conference in Amsterdam.

The Hydra IP video gateway supports up to three simultaneous video streams from a single CPE device and uses a home’s existing coax cabling for in-home video distribution. This approach can reduce the per-home CPE costs by up to 70 percent.

Already deployed in a number of Telco video networks in Europe, Entone’s StreamLiner NVR software architecture turns high volume, off-the-shelf servers into specialized, high-performance video servers. StreamLiner produces a high stream density and provides extreme deployment flexibility and infinite scalability.
